No doubt the friends of the sick are promoted by motives of humanity, yet it La proper they should be informed that they subjed themselves to a severe penalty by so doing. The Legislature passed tows regulating this matter, lu cases where the disease Is malignant or contagious, in order that the densely populated city may be protected from any unnecessary scourge, which, when it has gained a footing, scarcely rests so long as there remains a subject for Us re- morseless attack.
