Howley, of eection 17, has proceeded with his contract a good ways along the Toughie ghcny. The late heavy rains have undone a good deal of the work, partly by woobing away and undermining some of the new embankments, and partly by causing heavy land slidee. Messrs Lonergan Co of section 16 having to replace part of the township road, taken up by the rail road, labor under particular difficulties, since the new road new to bo out out of a hill-side and heavy shelves of rocks.
