Robinson, Samuel Kirby, Isaac hank; - indictment, surely of peace, on oath ogf Cannin- Catharine Gausley. The defendants are all boys of ten years and upwards, and, together, with the prosecutrix, reside in the borough of Eliza. beth. They were charged with disorderly con duct in the house of Mrs. Gausley, and making threats against her. The Court after a bearing, discharged the case, by sentencing the defen dents to pay costs. Commonwealth vs. Angelina Smith and Eliza Graham; indictment, surety of peace, on com plaint of Catharine Gansley. The efendants were the mothers of two of the boys above named, and were charged with interfering in the same affair. The Court sentenced the prose. cutrix to pay half the costs in each case. Commonwealth is.. Maria Stratton indict ment,larceny of a silver watch worth $35, from Win. Craig, in December last. Verdict of gull . ty and recommended to the mercy of the Court. Commonwealth vs. John Tagg and Joseph Weimer; indictment, larceny of a cow from a farm near Baden, on complaint of John Bryan. The defendants were both found guilty, and re manded for sentence. Tagg is a lad only 16 years of age. Commonwealth vs. Eliza Fisher; indictment, assault - , on oath of John Eichenbaugh. Ver dict of not guilty, but defendant sentenced to pay °Oats. Commonwealth vs. Remington Ray ; indict-. ment, indecent exposure of person, on complaint of Christian Yeager. Verdict of not guilty. Commonwealth vs. Henry Fitzgerald; indict ment, assault and battery, on oath of Mary Milder. • The prosecutor is a German woman, and the assault complained of is alleged to have occurred on the 24th of `April last, at the Point. The Jury returned a verdict of guilty. FATAL ACCIDENT ON VIE A. V. RAILROAD.- Oa Tuesday morning u . man was discovered in a dying condition at the foot of an embankment 60 feet high, on the Allegheny Valley Railroad, about seven miles from 'the city. When first seen by several laborers employed ou the road, ho had sufficient life in him to inform them that his name was Robert Curry, and that hie resi dence was iR the Fifth Ward, where he had a wife and seven children; but before being able to give any account of the manner in which he received hia injuries, expired. On subsequent examination it was found that one of his legs was•badly fractured, and it is supposed that he also received severe internal injuries. The even log previous he was observed walking along the road near the embankment, and it is presuued that while in an intoxicated condition fell over. An inquest was held by Coroner Lowry, and a verdict in accordance with the circumstances rendered. SALE OF CAR .STOCK.—The Johnstown Echo states that the Transportation Companies on the Pennsylvania Canal and Railroads have sold their, entire stook of cars to the Pennsylvanil Railroad Company. They are to receive from the railroad company $lOO,OOO, although the es timate of the stock did not reach $50,000. The Railroad Company is to get possession of the care OD the 15th of this month. The old Transporta tions have stopped receip inc . , and will not ship goods after that time. The boats belonging to the Companies on this Division of the canal are to be run off to the Western Canals end sold, and those on the Eastern Divisioa are to be ta ken to the North Branch and other canals. This movement looks very much like the first step on the part of the Railroad: Company towards purchasing the Main Line of public improve ments. She was observed in her house on Sunday evening, but not:making her am ear once during Monday, the neighbors suspecting something was wrong, buret open the door and found her lying on the floor, destitute of hre A little child, two years of age, was playing in the same room, apparently totally unconsciou6 of the death of its mother. The deceased woe sister of the Mrs. Burke who committed eui. .ride in jail a few days ago, and was a person of ,intemperate habits. A BASE OUTRAGE. —We heard yesterday of one of the basest villainies that has been at tempted in our city for a long time. The wit, of one of our most respectable citizens was ar sailed by a ruffian, and an attempt made to out rage her person. Her own courage and energy saved her from his villainy.
