MucH MATTER prepared ,for this department of
our, paper is unavoidably crowded out by the
press of new adverlisomcnt.
THE WATCH AHD JEWELRY BUSINESS.-111 our
advertising columns of to day appears the busi
ness card of a new firm, Messrs. Wilson, Tar
bett & Claney. Mr. W. W. Wilson, long known
in our city as a skillful artist and correct busi
ness man, has associated with him two of the
best watch makers probably in the State, and
for many years known to the customers of this
old established house for their prompt and cour
teous attentions. This threefold combination of
so much mechanical ability—their facilities for
keeping an extensive stock, and reputation for
selling at moderate prices—will undoubtedly give
them continued success. We think our country
friends and strangers visiting our city, and
wishing to purchase articles in this line, or have
their 'watches well repaired, will find it to their
advantage to call on Messrs. Wilson, Turbett &
Claney, 67 Market street, corner of Fonkh.
Tarloa's Craous.—This superb equestrian
and acrobatic establishment draws crowded
audiences every night. To-day is the last of
its stay here. On Monday it will exhibit in
Allegheny in the yard attached to Lightcap's
tavern, on Federal street. A daylight perform
ance will be given this afternoon, at two o'clock ;
also a performanoe in the evening at the usual
hour.
MLLITALLY ENCAMPMENT.—An encampment of
the volunteer companies of Westmoreland, In
dians, Cambria, Fayette, and some other of the
Western counties, will be held at Latrobe, com
mencing on Tuesday next, and continuing for
two days. Invitations have been extended to
our city companies, but we have not heard of
any yet who have signified their intention to be
present.
DISTRICT COl:MT.—Before Hon. M. Hampton.
In the case of 8.. Jones ve. Citizens' Insurance
Company, on trial for several days past, the
jury failed to agree, and were discharged.
Jeremiah Platt, for use of Samuel Crawford,
for use of Hugh Hummelright, vs. Charles H.
Armstrong. Black and Mellon for plaintiffs;
T: Mellon and Bruce for defendants. On trial.
EASTERN PAPERS —We are indebted to R.
Shannon for Eistern papers 12 hours in advance
of the mail. He will furnish the Herald, nmes,
Tribune, and Philadelphia Ledger to subscribers
on the day after publication. Orders left at
Gallagher's, Fifth street, below the Post-office,
will he promptly attended to.
MORE Bank!) SUlTS.—Three bakers named
Liobty, Kearns and Leary were yesterday sum
moned to .
.appear before Alderman Donaldson,
on Thursday next, to answer for selling bread
of light weight, on complaint of James Richard
son, Caroline Schwartz and Edward Spence.
Tar. place to buy good hats, clear handsome
and cheap, is at Morgan & Co.'s No. 164 Wood
et:, accost. This is the testimony of many of our
friends who sport elegant castors all purchased
at the above place.
To DAT, before you buy your bats, go to the
Banner Hat store; stook complete; and all know
Alf sells at fair prices. Don't forget the sign of
American flag,'opposite new church, 147 Wood
street.
MR. gives two exhibitions to-day—ono
at 3 o'clock, and the otherat 8. As these two
are the last given here, we trust none will regret
not hay.ing witnessed one of the finest exhibi
tions it has been our fortune to witness.
Ws understand the steam fire engine will be
here the beginning of next week, for the purpose
of exhibiting its powers.

highest rates In our market, and have been ruling thus for
some weeks back. The demand, especially In grain, 'still
continues, and our business mart is thronged with traders
from all quarters.—Denuicrat, 121 inst.
CINCINNATI —The demand for cut meats, in dry, salt and

rates. The edvices from New York to day, by telegraph,
are not favorable. The stork of barrel Pork is increa , ing,

INVIGORATING CORDIAL,
A PKENOMENON IN MEDICINE.
Health Restored and Life Lengthened
nr
MORSE'S INVIGORATING ELIXLIk.,
I T will replace weakness with ctrength, incapecitrwith
efficiency, Irregularity with un:form and natural as
tivity, and this not only without hazard of reaction, but
with a happy effect on the general organization. * Rear
in mind that all maladies wherever they begin, finish with
the nervous system, and that the patella/Ilion of the nerve
of motion and sensation Is physical death, Bear in mind,
also, that for every kind of nervous disease, the Elixir Cor
dial la the only reliable preparative known.
CURE OF NERVOUS DISEASES.
No language can convey an adequate ides of the. imme

the disease], debilitated and shattered nervous systettt;
whether broken down by excess, weak by nature, or impair.
ed by sickness—the unstrung and relaxed organization in
at once braced, revivified and built up. The mental and
physical symptoms of nervous disea.se vanish together un
der its influence. Nor is the effect temporary; for the Cm ,
dial properties of the medicine reach the constitution itself,
and re9tOre It to Its normal condition.

•
A GR6AI hIEDICLNE FOR FEILALPS.
The unparalleled effects of this great restoratiye In all
complaints incident to females. mark a new era In the annals
of medicine. Thousands of etlmelantabavebern invented—
thourande of Invigorante concocted—all purporting to be
epecifed In the rations direasee and derangements to which
the delicate formation of woman render her liable.

L'VEIIY WOMAN OF SENSE,
Who suffers from weakness, derangement,. nervousness,
tremors, pains in the back, or any other disorder, whether
peenliar to her sex, or common to both sexes—to give the
invigorating Cordial a trial.

Or others, will find this Cordial after they have need a Cot

directions are to be found the happy parents of healthy
spring, who would not have been so but for this extraordi
nary preparation. And it is equally potent for the many die
eases for which it Is recommended. Thousands of young
men have been restored by using it, and not in a single in
stance has it failed to benefit them.
PERSONS OF PALE COMPLEXION
or cons Emotive habits, are restored by the use of a bottle or
two to bloom and vigor, changing the skin froth a pale, ye'-
low, sickly color, to a beautiful florid complexion._

Irritability, derangement of the digestive functions, general
debility, symptoms of consumptions, etc,
Mentally, the fearful effects on the Arilnd are much to be

of spirits, evil forebodings, aversion to soeletyiselkliatrui4,
love of solitude, timidity, etc., are some of the evils produ•

BEFORE CONTEMPLATING MARIILAGE
should reflect that a sound mind and body are the most ne
cessary requisites to promote connubial happiness; indeed,
without these, the journey through life becomes a weary
pilgrimage—the prospect hourly darkens the view; the
mind becomes shadowed with despair, and filled with the
melancholy reflection that the happiness of another be
comes blighted with your own.
