WEEKLY MONEY AETICLE.
T , . „. , , Pittsburgh, April 27, 1855
There Is a elighi change In the market this week. The
demand fur Money Is still less than that of last week, and
U» actual wants of trade are not great,-various causes
have diminished them, leaving the market comparatively
easy, steady and wholesome. There is no real want of
money, and there Is lees going westward, and merchants,
40., do not find any gnat dißlculty In procuring what Ihey
actually need. Since the opening of spring business every
branch of trade has enjoyed a very fair degree of activity
incident to the season, thus bringing money into active

under thecircumstances. For the past week business ha,
experienced somewhat of a relaxation. Currency is rather

lood for the coming year has become the all-absorbing
quesUon of the day, and as the season advances the weather
and the crops attract the greatest Interest in every circle
Wo are exceedingly gratified at the present prospects:
every section of the country, as far as we can learn, speaks
rn Ure most flattering terms. Farmers must employ every
inch of ground they possibly can for tha production of the
necessaries of life, as It will need a very heavy crop to bring
down present exorbitant price, to near the usual average
rates. A r duction in prices of food Is an essential item to
the promotion of a healthy and vigorous state of affaire.
Should wo have the klud of harvest now anticipated, busi

through which they have passed, and accompanied by

basis for the future strong end well fortified in the event of
