hoars when we ought to have been asleep. We
have beard the clock strike twelve, one, two, at I
intervals in tbeir performances, and hate been ;
tempted to the use of terms not to be found in j
ony religious work, or any of the standard ser- |
moos of the day. We have dropped brickbats
among them, wasted more wood upon them than
\re are able to spare, have taken cold by expo
sure to thb uight air, become hoarse by halloing
‘Scat!’ We have exhausted our loose pieces of
brick, tbe smaller sticks of our wood pile, and
our patience. In view of all these facts we sub
mit there is nothing left for ns but to movo our
self, or move those cats, aud we shall not move.
We have prepared a double-barreled guo, a u.
supply of bird shot, with the necessary quanU
tv of powder and percaesion caps, and in our
opiulon somebody’s cats will go home, aomo
moonlight night, complaining of fecliog unwell.
