hole with powder, applied tho fire, and retired
eome distance to await ’the explosion—but it
not taking plooe at the expected time, they eup

examination. Whilst standing over the hole
the blast went off, throwing them both high in

The Sequel. —We mentioned a few days ago,
about a couple of children applying to Alderman

ing the oity to discover who he was, in order
that they inay indict him for marrying minors
contrary to low* The sequel of the story, wo

' •&» Ko article of x slmflair kind, &oir tefore the public,
6Djoy* a better reputation as a reitoratlve and invigera*
ting hair tonic. Its peculiar chemical qualities have a
beneficial effect upon the growth'and character of thehair,-
giving a silky and glossy texture to that which was former*
ly of a coarse and dry'nature. It has also a tendency to
preserve the youthful color and appearanco of the hair,
and.destroylng or counteracting the effects of age. With
such recommendations in Its favor, we hardly perceive how
any lady or gentleman should be without eo valuable an
adjunct to the toilet. Persons who have used it from the
age of sixty-four down, declare it to he the moßtperfect ar
ticle to secure the object intended ever yet produced. Gray
hair, whether produced by the slow progress of time, or by
any of the causes which whiten ibe locks prematurely,is
restored to a healthy, lively appearance, and all the disa.
grecable effects of dryness, tho accumulation of daodrulT
or like impurities, are removed.
Prom tho Editor of the Beal Estate Advertiser, 27 School st
Boston, March 20,18*4.
Pbof. Wood: Pear Sir—Having become prematurely
quite gray, I was Induced seme six weeks since, to make
trisl of your Hair Restorative. 2 hare used less than two
bottles; but the gray halia have all disappeared; and al
though my hair has not fully attaiaed its original color,
yet the process of ch&ngo is gradually goingon, and I have
great hopes that, in a short time, my hair will be as dark
as formerly. I have also been much gratified at the healthy
moisture and vigor of the hair, which before was harsh and
dry, and it has ceased to come out os formerly.
Respectfully Yours, P. C. M. Burp.
Paor. Wood: Pear Kir—My hair commenced falling off
pome three or four years since, and continued to do so until
I became quite bald. I tried oil the popular remedies of the
day, but to no effect; at last I was induced to use your cel
ebrated Hair Restorative, and am very happy to say it Is
doing wonders. I have now a fine growth of young h&ir,
and cheerfully recommend its usd' to all similarly afflicted.

I have used Prof 0. J. Wood’s Bair Restorative,and have
admired lta wonderful effect My hair was becoming, as 1
thought prematurely gray, but by the use of his Restora
tive, it has resumed its original color, and,! have no doubt
permanently so. STPxrr Baxisr,
Ex-Senator, United States.
Vincennes, Indiana, June 15tb, 1853.
Poor. 0. J. Wood : Pear Sir—As you are about to manu
facture extensively and vend your recently discovered H&ir
Restorative, I will state, for whomsoever it may concern,
that I have usod it and known others uso it; that I have
for several years been in the habit of using other Hair Re
storatives, and that I find yours vastly superior to any other
-1 know; It entirely cleanses the head of dandruff, and
with one month’s proper use will restore any person’s hair
to the original youthful color and texture, giving it a
healthy, roft. and glossy appearance, and all this without
discoloring the hands that apply it or the dress rn which
it drops. T would, therefore, recommend its use to every
one desirous of having a fine color and texture to hair.
Respectfully yours, Wilson Kino.
