DAILY MORNING POST. MONDAY MORNING: rr! ' , "-DsCH)Ei>i* Bioit l—A short time ago the opera of the “Bafber,pf Seville” was produced at tho Grand Opera of raris. A certain Mr. Leoomte, dboiogASreat admirer of Rossini in general, and tW “Bsrberjlf Seville" in particular, purchased p; is' ,a tiodeet for a reserved seat by paying fire francs. .Ha -very quietly looted for his seat, ana after ' ' . , some trouble found it—occupied by a gontieman, , who peremptorily refused to give it up. Mr. Le " " oompte very quietly went to the Commissary of - Polios, who is generally, in Paris, very easily ' found—entered a complaint, and oommenoed a ; suit against the management. He olaimod damages to the amount of 160 francs for beiDg -deprived from witnessing tho performance of his ’ favorite opera, and demanded a repetition as soon as possible for his own speoial benefit, and in addition 20 francß damages for every day’s delay. Judgment was given in his favor, and the management was glad to settle with him by paying a few hundred francs. This very natu rally led to some inquiries about ths person who refused to give up the seat, and after a great deal of trouble it was found that said seat had been occupied by a dead head. Tho management, in .all probability, had given him the seat ex pecting that he would quietly submit to being turned but if it were wanted.
