it, on the ground that it was Z'ol germain to the

Messrs. Fessenden, Chase, Brown anj Weller

Ivy, Is now giving his whole attention to the manufacture
of his Depuretive gyro,' and Extract of derasparills, In
order to supply the extraordinary demands for the article
.which are coming in front all quarters. This Syrup is with
out doubt the best of the kind made in the country. We
knot it to be one which we can honestly recommend to the
favorable notice of our readers It has been tested by years
of axperienos and use, and found to be all that is claimed
for it by its inventor. A pamphlet is lying before us, filled
with certificates of cores, the names appended to which are
not mar of rime, as Is usual with documents of tt to char
acter, but sodi known citizens of Berke county—who have
experienced the effects of its curative properties. Append
ed to the list are certifleates of different county officers of
Berke county, with the smis of their several aloes ettacbed,
stating that they are well acquainted with the permns
whose names are given as reference, (among which are the
names of a number of our principal phyeicians,) and know
them to be genuine. We advise those of oar ranters who
are afflicted to call upon Dr. Oakeday, at hie aloe in North
fifth street, and procure one of these pamphlets, which
will not fall to ruddy them that hie preparation is one of
extraordinary power andefflaisnoy,ead eminently &earring
of their attention."

A great invention Iziomphs over all factious rivalry,
even in this cresinlous age. It has been sail that every'
city is a Paradise of humbugs; but let a really meritorious
article, capable of doing all that Ls promised for it,be placed
in competition with mere nostrums, sustained by puffery,
and not by their own euellenos, and the true preparation
will succeed while the trash fills into contempt. It has
Inert thus with CRUM/MORI:PS EXCELSIOR HAIR. DYE.
It war offered as a preparatirm embodying all the chemical
ingredients of nature's own blacks and browns. The
chemists analysed it, and certified to the fact. The public
tried it, and their experience confirmed the dictum of the
ed.:nibs world. Its popularity was &Inset as Instantaneous
as the change of color it effects. The people were invited,
through the profs, to see its operation with their own eyes.
They beheld red, gaudy, yellow and grey hair, transformed
in fire minutes—without passing through any intermediate
tints—to a bnlttent and rich sutural black, or Many shade
of brown. They found that the Said Imparted no Main to
the akin of the head, einittal as uhpleataut odor, contain
ed no canterizing element. Of marse, they endorsed it.
They could not do otherwise: ail at this moment the sales
of the article exceed that of any other half dozen hair dyes
In the world. It is the latest effort of lenience, and it may
be truly mid, " the noblest offspring is the last.. The Ex-
relator flair Dye must break down every other and monop
olize the market, simply bantam it to the best. The molt
it produces Le its sufficient advertisement. Compare Its
operations with that of other hair dyes, and judge to which
of them the palm should be awarded.
