tbe defendants stull on, or before the expiration of four
months from this date, take up so much of their Kail road
as lies upon the aald atreeta, and upon the Buffalo road,
and remove the materials thereof, so as to leave the said
streets and road in a*fpod -ondltion as they were, in be
fore the construction of said Hailroad.
And It is further declare! and adjudged, that the said
defendants are b *und to mnk-tbe borough of Erie witn
such limits as it had In 1842, the Western termioua of their

Hbavt Larcbkt.—Two men, one of whom is
named Francis James, , were arrestedon Wed
nesday night, by officer Hague, in Cambria county, for the
larceny of $l4l from Mr. James Cox, of Clinton, in this
ootinty. Cox Is a poor man, ant! had been striding Indu*
trionsly for a lorg while to fare enough to pay his passage
to California. The two men above named, by some means,
ascertained that be had money, and lurked about the neigh
borhood until they made bis acquaintance. On Friday night
last, they induced him to drink with them, when they poor
•d some drug or norootlo in his liquor, which threw him
into a sleep, from which be did not recover until ihs follow
ing Monday. The money was contained in a belt abouthls
person, which, as toon as he was in an insen«!ble e-ndltion
ergs taken frem him by tbe scoundrels, who then left for the
Bast. Their journey, however, was cut short, before they
reached their destination, in tbs manner stated.
Both men were brought to tho rity on Wednesday even
ing, and bad a hearing yesterday afternoon, before Aider
man Steel, who admitted one of them to b»il, but in default
of the proper security rn the part of James, commuted him
tojan.
