wee received last night, announcing the death of Mr. Samuel
M'llluley, by & railroad accident, which occurred near Al
toona, on the Pennsylvania Railroad. It appears that Mr.
WHinley was mussing from Hillside Station, where he had
been at Camp Meeting, to the point above mentioned, upon
the locomotive of a freight train. When within a short
distance of his dmtlnation, the engine met with some ob.
etructiOn, which threw it off the track, and upset. Mr. M . -
Hholey wee thrown underneath the machine, and killed le
moot instantly. The despatch does not say whether the
engineer, or any other person, was Injured.
Mr. ki'llinley was an old anif well known citizen, having
resided here fore number of years, and his mournful and
sudden end, all be regretted by aIL
His body, we believe, was brought to the city in the rue
o'clock train this morning.
CLIOLELIA.=A German woman and two of ber
children, residing on Ohio street, near Rest Lane, Ailgheny,
died from cholera on Tue.lay evening. On the morning
previous, she went to market, and minims.] • large quan
tity of cucumbers, and other vegetables, of which the whole
family made a hearty dinner.' Almost Immediately after,
the woman was attacked with the usual premonitory spur,-
toms of cholera, but paid no attention to It until too Late to
save her life. She died a few hours after partaking of the

mother, the children were seized with the same disease, and

UNFORTIINATI MAN.—Alex. Reno, an Italian,
and portrait painter, was committed to jail on Tuesday
night by 'Squire Symmcs, of Birmingham, on a surety of the
