FALL or THE SCATFOLDING AT THE CATHEDRAL
—TM= MEE Irtharo. Yesterday afternoon, about two
o'clock, the workmen to the new extholia Cathedral, on
Grant West, were startled by a noise like the expiration of
• pistol, which was followed Immediately after by the fall of
the immense scaffolding, In the west end of the building,
under the steeple. The scaffolding was about forty-feet high,
and three men named Joseph Swallow, Charles Smith and
Joeepb Brown, who were employed at the time upon the
upper portion, teaming the walls, were thrown to the
ground and buried under the rune. The falling timber.

the whereabouts of the injured men could be ascertained,
