has en Indian head with- a crown of-Testbere,
such as one sets at times on tobacco basso- Tha
bead is surrounded by the words United4tatirn
of America." On the reverse side, there is an
open wreath composed of the principal agrlottl
tarot productions of the country — wheat,' corn,
cotton, tobacco sod rice. This wreath surrounds
the words "1 Dollar, 1854.." In appespissus, on
this side especially, it precisely resembles tee
three dollar coin. On the whole, it lb s beantl- -
ful thing and its greater diameter will be likely
to make it much more generally aozeptable than
the dollar coin now in circulation whi4 h"
proved very inconvenient indeed, on account of
its too small diameter. _
