ndclpbla. Tho hnlldlng belonged to Mr. Pearson, and la not
much damaged. ■■

Injured to tha amount of $12,000; partially insured as fbl_
loirs: $4OOO la Harrlsburgh BUto Mutual, and S<OOO In
Delaware Mutual. The bulldtag belonged to/Rufua Cole,
who resides on the Boren MUe Island, and Is entirely de
stroyed. ~ .
William Mlllox, saddlery shop, was insured for $l6OO In
• Otisona’ Insurance Company,-Which,-bowerer, will not

•Tho stock In tbe shoo store of Peter Meerta was destroyed
to the amount of about $2OOO. - Mr. Moert*,..however, Is
losurea in a larger sum-than sustained. His insu
rances In the following offices: $2OOO in Marine. Fire,
Saratoga, N. Y.; $lOOO In Northern Protection, Camden, N.
and $lOOO In Ithlca, N. Y.: The building belonged to
Mra. Cralg,-and was insured for $7OO in Western Insurance,

The eutire contents of W. U. Msec’s clothing store, were
completely destroyed, bulls covered- by Insurance, as fol
lows . s&<>o la Hartford Protection; $lOOO in Cash Mutual;
$lOOO In State Mutual, UatTiaburgh. , The building, which
was almost entirely soatroyed, belonged to Mr. S. H. TVklk*
er, and there Is no insurance on It.
The loss sustained by Mr. .H’Qratfcy, clothing merchant*
trill amount to $2OOO or $3OOO, on which there Is no Inau
ranee, the policy on the stock haring expired at noon on
the day of the fire.
Morris A* Pation’a grocery nud liquor store, with entire
oootents, including all his account boohs, were completely
destroyed, nod the loss will not fall short of $6OOO. The
stock was Insured fir $O9OO, in Virginia Valley Company,
Richmond. ,The building was Insured for $3OO, In same
company.
Mr. Sicrrctt, dry goods merchant, was insured for $7000;
$2OOO io Hartford Protection; $2OOO la Franklin, and
$lOOO in North American t an amount which will more than
.©over his loss
Thodry goods store, on the corner or the Diamond, be*
longing to A. M. Marshall, was not injured to any great
extent, and the loss Is more than covered by Insurance.
The loss on Jlr. T. Vance’s ilicrary depot. In the Diamond,
■will amount to about ssoo—no insurance. The building
belonged to VFm. M. Dawson.
The loss sustainod by Mr. Vm. ItaUston, grocer and dry
goods merchant. Is not known. Ho Is insured on stock and
furniture, Sa Franklin, SI6W; on stock alone, in ClttrensV
slSoov There is also an insurance of $BOO on the building. ;
' R. i?. Smith’s loss Is only about $5OO, on which there is
an Insurance in Fanners’Company, Oaedla,N. Y;, of $1000, ;
and $6OO in Cwh Mutual, Harrisburg.
The two frame buildings-next- to. Mr, Smith’s establish
sunt were owned by-Mr. Hinder Blair, confectioner, and :
were Insured in the State Mutual, Harrisburg, for ssoo ,
which than covers his toss. • A Sirs. Scorfleld, who re* -
Bided in oae of theso houses, had her farnitnre injured to :
some extent by its removal. i
The last house on flro was the cabinet -warcroom of
Messrs. Bolten & Niehaur, and the damago was completely
GDTored by on in.uransoof $lOO, in the Cosh-Mutual.
A lot of frame sheds and stables in tho ftwr of Mr. Ball*
ston’s, belonging to Mr.-Miller, were damaged to the
amount of about s2oo—no insurance.'
The, total amount cf damage, will not fairebbrt of $75,000;
or $50,000.;

Robert George; Intended sotting fire to Mr, Carson’s stable,
on Saturday evening. On the Btreogth of this information,

- the stable, but remained there all night without seeing any
• thing of tbo incendiary.

• discovered On tho ’ premiers, and arrested by officer. Long.

accused of “Starting the fire,} could be found. ?ho officers

however, tracked him to the Allegheny river, and taw him

noon, when Mayor Adame hold an examination, and each

Killed by Lightning.— Daring tho storm on
Tacsdav, a house, about fire mites out os the Franklin,
road, wAs struck by lightning. The subtle fluid entered
the chimney, and passed down to the lower story, striking
a lady named immediately killing her. Another
lady, who was sitting along aide of her at the time, was
considerably stunned, but was not materially .injured.
