Jl the above name-1 FURNACE, designed for Warming
-and Ventilating Buildings, combining in itself all the desi

suring personal comfort, without any of the disagreeable
sensations or sources of annoyance so common in beating
arrangements. While the occupants of a room or building
experience nil the com fort arising from a warm summer at

sustainlng air. not contaminated by being derived from
damp, unhealthy sources, or its power to sustain Ufa being
Impaired by coming In contact with an over-heated surface.
- These results are produced, in part, by constructing the
furnace in such a manner that the beat is diffused at a low

known to the public. In produdngthls another ob
ject of great importance is obtained on. the score of econo

great that the heat is almost entirely abstracted from the
gases before they nr© driven off into, the chimney, thereby
gToatly reducing tho consumption of fuel. The fuel cham
ber is so lined with soapstone and fire-brick that the fuel
cannot come in coutsct with the iron, preventing the over
heating of the air, and destruction or, Injury to . the
Furnace;-.
•The Joint* of the Furnace are so constructed'as to afford
room for making a tight sand and clay joint; preventing
the? escape of noilous and sooty gases into the room, so an

The air to he wanned is taken directly from the outside
of the building in all cases, thus insuring a supply of pure,
wholesome air for breathing, and the other important fane*

proof of this, attention is called to the certificates of Pro
