accidents and detentions occurred on Tuesday, on the Ohio
and Pennsylvania Ball road. ■ - The Mall train, doe at 4.45
P. M* was delayed about ! an hour, in consequence of-on
accident that occurred to tho freight train at Economy, A
couple of cars containing wheat, became detached from the
train, by tho couplings coming loose, and were run into by
another freight train which way close behind it; but they
unstained very little damage, and none of their contents,
were lost.- The Express train, due here at 8.15 P. M., ran.
over a horso at Franklin, and threw the baggage car off the
track—no persons were injured. - The engine of the same
train gave out in its way up, bat it was replaced by another
engine from a freight train, and arrived safely about three
hours behind time. Tho Express train started West at 10
o’clock. <••• -

. FLOUR,—Since the date of ourlaat weekly, we bad tbe
arrival or the steamer Asia, from Europe, which had the ef
fect to cause a decline and depression In our Flour market,
as will be'noticed by reference to tho sales. On Friday sales
were made of 200 bbi* at,ss, On Saturday the talcs
amounted to about 250 bbts In tots at55,76@5,57, for super
fine and extra. On Monday, sales of 128 bbti at $6,76; 64
: bbls at the same; 20 bbi* extra. $6,87; 125 bbli from store
at $6; 100 bblsfrom first hands at 55,76. On Tuesday, sales
of 200 bblsats6,76, and holders more firm; some few lots.
Trom wagons were sold at 55,75,. however, was the
rullog ratoon Wednesday. The steamer’s news was anxious
ly looked for.
