ACCIDENTS O 1 THE ttAILItOADS.
It is sickening to the feelings of the 'readers
of our city papers, to read the frequent reports
of the dektructles of lifeonour Railroads. A
most lamentable accident occurred on yesterday
morning, in the Fifth Ward. A 'Mr, Lino, the
kespez of a hotel on Liberty street," above the
canal, was run over by'the cars and smashed to
pleaes in the most shocking manner. His body
was literally vusehed. These freguent accidents
should admonish every ono to "look out for the
locomotive," and to give it a wide berth. Any
person who has aver traveled upon a Railroad
knows the difficulty that the engineerhas to stop
the progress ofa train, and ifthey ran themselves
into danger along the track, it is difficult to ima
gine that the dangers are not attributable to their
own carelessness.
