see the banquet held by the Bens of Temperance iq Masonic
Hall, so well attended on Thursday evening. The arrange
menta ibr the banquet were admirable, and tho whole affair
passed off pleasantly. Tho dancing was carried on with
much animation. Tho company composed principally of
tons of Temperance, but a large number of the “unlnlUat
tsi” mingled In the. fcrtlvi ties of the occasion. Wcnolfcod a
large number of strangers present, who had j come ftom the
surrounding country, and who appeared tocqjoy themselves
exceeding, well with their city brethren, notwithstanding
tbelr extensiveparndonring the day. The company sepa
rated at a late hour,- rightly delighted with the pleasant
manner in which they had spent the evening.
