On Tuesday evening; about 10 o’clock, he walked out on tho railroad track to within about forty yards of the outer depot; he noticed two men walking a short distenoe before him—also ano ther manfwho came, up to him from a different direction, and Bpoko to him, asking him what 1 time it was ; ha took out his watsh and told tho stranger, who then asked: him Whether he had. any monOy, to whioh he replied that he had-not;' The ruffian here struck Mr. Rinne; knocking him down, and ashefieU; he struck him again. He then took out his handkerchief and passed ,it across Mr. R.’s mouth, and then tied-him.to a tree;" The other men, who had come up by this time,- assisted the first.-; rascal to tie him with n rope, around the throat, to the tree. The men. then-stripped Mr. Rinno of bis clothing—hat, panto, vest, and shirt—not .leaving-.his , shoe's and stockings oven; in his coat was a rod morocco pocket-book; - which contained several papers of value, and a number of surglcalinstru-; ments of Frcnoh raako; in his vest was a small pocket-book;- which oontained s7s,'mostly; in gold—hd had also upon his person a small silver, lepine watoh; after .which, taking the clothes; they left Mr. Rinno tied to the tree by his hand kerchief, which passed across his mouth, gagging him; he was also tied by the throat and feet, with i ropes, and his hands tied behind him. In this position the villains left Mr. 8., and he remained tied to tho tree until about five o’clock yestcr dayrnorning, when ho was relieved by some one passing, and conveyed to a doctor’s office, nearly J’jad, whererestoiottves were applied.
