againstGeorgo N’Keo, of Charliers township, in

assault on him and threatened his life; v M’Keo
alleged that the other party was to blame. The
Alderman, however, hold him to bail in the: sum

M’Keo for assault and battery, and he was again

LOSS OF THE STEAMEB BEDSTONE.
‘ The steamer Bedstone, Cnpt. Tate, hence for
Cincinnati, witli aliontecventypersons on hoard,

backing out from Scott’s Innding, about three
miles above Carrollton, at half past two o'clock
this afternoon. The force of the explosion was
terrific,' completely' shattering the boat, wbioli

sengers a largo proportion are lost, and of the
crow only the captain and clerk are saved, the
former sovoroly if .not fatally injured. XJp to C,
