The St. Louis Union of the 12th says - 'The; river, which_ cord:limed to fall during nearly the whole of yesterday, and the coolness of the atmosphere, caused the Levee and streets to remain in a very unpleasant condition, and tendedvery materially to retard business trans actions. Almost' every; department of trade felt the influence' of : excessive dullness and the produce market was decidedly inactive. The rivers remained as at the date of our last —low, and slowlyreceding hence to Cairo. Boats drawing over seven feet did not venture to leave ort Bouthernfteightsmere extremely scarce, and 'the current rates s]most rukonaly low. All of the upPei'sireams are falling. Missoula Itrvrat—The Banner State, from St. Joseph, reports three and a half feet in the channel,- and the stage of water stationary.— She also reports an unusual numbercof snags.— Si. Louis Antes, N0v.13. One of the deck hands of the steamer Cabinet, named Collins, was accidentally drowned on the 18th, near Warrenton. He went into a skiff, which being struck by the weel, he leaped into the river and sunk before assistance could be rendered. U. S. Couttr.--The • Gazette of yesterday con tained the following in relation to the difficulty among the Harmonists, now before the 11. S. Court:. - • • It was.that of Joshua Natchtrieb vs. Romulus L. Baker and Jacob Henrici, Trustees of the Harmony Society, of Beaver county, Pennsylva nia, No. 28 of November term, A. •D. 1860, in equity. -- Messrs. C. Shaler, E. M. Stanton and T. Umbstaetter appeared for complainant. Messrs. A. W. Loomis and Wilson- McCandless kir re spondents. Thi3 bill alleges in substance that .the corn plairiant; - In the year.lBl9, bang theriabokt 21 years-old; became associated All Harmony, Is., with George Rapp and his associates. He after wards removed with the association to Economy, in Beaver county, and remained there, a member of -said association, until Jane, 1846, a period of about 27 years. 'During that period; be alleges that he labored faithfully and diligently in its affairs and business, devoting his time, skill and care to its interests. Within the same period the society increased in wealth by the acquisi tions of property—retd, personal and mixed—to the value of over two millions of dollars. The complainant, during that time, received nothing but the necessaries of life. In the year 1846, the complainant, being then about 48 years old, was turned out of the said association, and de prived of a share in its property and effects, upon which-he brought suit against them, de manding that an account may be stated, and that the share to which ho claims ho has a right may be decreed to him. We presume that the decisions will not be pronounced for some time. Timm 13 Tsai.—The following, from the Journal of yesterday, will illustrate one of the neatest tricks in trade that has come to our ncp tice for some time past. It would da credit to an Arkansas Yankee: Sale of the B. B. "James lirelecm."—We have learned that this steam boat, which a day or two since was running -.in opposition to the ..Winchester," huebeen ' purchased bytaptain Mark Sterling for the sum of $7OOO. Accord ing to our information we farther learn that the owners of the; Winchester contributed $lOOO ad ditional towards the purchase, solely with the view cringing the boat off the route, and thus get rid of 'the competition. .The.NTincbestet . ' appears to be unfortunate in herspeeralations; ter we are told that the "Clip- Per No. 2". is going out this morning in place of the fielsan, which has been bought for the coal trade, that is, the towing of , coal barges from Pittsburgh to St. Louis. The 'Allegheny and Perrysville Plank Road Company, yesterday declared a dividend of three dollars per share on the capital stook of said company ; which will be paid to stock holders on the first day of December. It will be recollected that three miles of this road was complete on the first day of January last ; and the entire distance of eight miles was finished only aatar.back as the first of Jane last. gerßy reference to the advertisement, in another column, it will be seen that Blythe 'a Panorama of the Alleghenies is to be kept open on Friday and Saturday, at 2 o'clock, P. hi. for the benefit of each schools as may wish to see this very beautiful and interesting production.
