witneers an honest and fair test of one o. their Phrenix
Saks. The furnace being prepared, tne, Sate olaee
inside thereof, with books, papers and soma money; when
the door of the Safe was ebssed and the fire kindled at i.
quarter past 2 o'clock, and in a shoo time the Safe was
red kot, and continued till half past 6 o'clock, being about
four and a bait hours, when oc c upiedee expreescd
their inrisfaction that the timewith such beat
was sufficient. Thu furnace was than pulled down,Safe
cooled and door opened—the books, papers and money
safe. The beat was' so great as to. melt of the brass
mountings. We therefore take pleasure in recommend
ing these Sates to the public, as being, in our judgment,
