Mobile Cotton Market, Blew Afith. •
Our market opened with qultean animated and gene•
ral demand; and salsa for the first days were to a very
fair extent, at prices gradually improving, until middling
on Monday closed firmly at nee* cents. On Tuesday
the arrival of the Southampton atedmer Franklin was
announced, by telegraph, with Liverpool delta one day
later, advising sales of 5000 bales, at IA advance. This
unexpected news gave cenfidenee to holders, and with
moderate sales th e price of middling was 6.1.051 cents.
On Wednesday factors were inclined to advance prices
still (unbar, in consequence the transactions we re small,
without change on the previous day's rates The Brit.
ish steamer Africa eras announced on'Wednesday, wlth
with a week's later advice% from Liverpool. That roar
ket had again receded Id. with sales of 32,000 bales—
This news bed a bad effect, and the sales of the day
were to a very moderate extent—the .closing prices of
middling being Fl cents. Yesterday the letters by the
Calabria to the 3d instant were to band, all orders were
either cancelled or so much reduced in limits, as to pre
clude the possibility of acting on them at present niter,
in consequence the business of the day was again quite
small, the market closing dull at st cents for middling.
The total sales of the week are E9OO bales. Saturday
2240, Monday 0100. Tuesday 120 U, Wednesday 500,
Thursday 1200, and Friday 1500 bales; taken mostly (or

D. Gratorr.--Sir : I tender . you m sincere . thanks
for th e great benefit I have derived from thcpse of your
valuable Syrup. I have been troubled very bad lxlth a ,
scrofulous sore which made its appearance on ray . chin.
I did not pay much attention to it at first, supposing it
•to be nothing but some eruption that generally appears
on persons' faces. It finally began to increase, until it
spread to the back pan of any head. I applied to a'phy
melon ;he attended me all to no purpose. I bad tried
everything that could be tried. 1 stew your Syrup of
Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla, and concluded to us it,
for I knew that the Yellow Dock was one of the most
valuable articles In the world for the blood. I bought
your. Syrup and commenced using it, and - from the use
of one bottle I could see a areal change in my system.
I continued using it until l 801 a well man. I now feel
like a new person; my blood is perfectly cleansed, and
free from ail impurities. There is nova question but
that your newly discovered Compound it far superior to
any Banat arilla syrup ever sold. This certificate ls at
your disposal, to publish if you like, and any one you
may refer to me, I shall be happy to give them all the
information I can about my ease, de. •
remain your obedient servant, •
