Dear Friend Stewart: I have beast home now j ust two
months. When I last saw you, I had but little oyes of
ever getting any better. But I have now the pleasure of
thanking you for recommending me to take Dr. Rogers'
Syrup of Liverwort, Tar, and Canebalagna. I got a
dozen bottles of it and took home with me, determined
to make a fair trial of it, as I had done with everything
else. I have only taken . tour bottles of it, and I must
say it has done me mote good than any other medicine
I have ever taken. On my first taking it, it Increased
the expectoration, and I raised a. great. deal o r bloody
matter from my Tunes. Sot that has now teased, and so
nas my cough, warty. I cough bet Hubei now and ex
pect soon to be entirely free from it 1 consider it an
invaluable medicine, and shall recommend it to all who
are afflicted with a coughor diseased lungs.

PETROLEUM OR ROCK OIL;
TT Is not more than one year ago since this groat rem

cure of disease. Its great powers to heal, have, since
then, become Ailly appreciated by the community, and
we allege that the longer it is tried the more certain will
Its great fame spread. It is not the remedy of al day,
got up for the sole purpose of making money; but t one,
which we conceive , will CODUZLUe to be used when all
nostrami have been forgotten. The PETROLEUM Is
a Natural Remedy, elaborated lathe depths of the earth
by a power and agency that laughs/to scorn all human
competition. It Is our duty, when we write abbot a
medicine, that we write saurn—that we say nothing
calculated to deceive those who may trust our word or
pat confidence In our statement'. The sick are very
apt to catch at any thing that promises relief Irmo die;

Now, we do not desire to do this; we are anxious only
that the troth in relation to oar Remedy should be told,
in order to secure for It a reputation far exceeding any
single article of the 1334 3 / 4 7i0 Vitdiag. Plain, unvarnished
facts facts Mummy be ascertained in oar own city and
