Dear Friend Stawart: I hove been home notijust two
months. When 1 last saw you, I had but little hopes of
ever getting any better. But 1 have now the pleasure of
thanking yon for recommending me to take Et. Rogers'
Syrup of Liverwort, Tar, and Conchal:vita. I got a
dozen kettles of It and took home with me, determined
to =sire a fair trial of it, os I had done with everything .
else. I have only taken lour bottles of it, and I mast
say it has done me more good than any other medicine
I have ever taken. On my . first taking It, it increased
the expectoration, and 1 nosed a great deal of bloody
matter from my lungs; But that has now ceased, and so
nas my eoughotzerfy. I cough bat Hula 'yin., and
pect soon to be entirely free tram I consider it an
invaluable medicine, and shrill recommend it to tall who
are afflicted with a cough or diseased lungs.

then, become fully appreciated by the community, and
we allege that the hinge r it is tried the more certain will
its great fame spread. It is not the remedy of a day,
got up for the sole purpose of making money; but, one,
which we conceive, will continue to be used when all
nostrums have been forgotten. The PETROLEUM Is
a Natural Remedy, elaborated in tho depths of the earth
by a power and agency that laughs•to scorn all human

Now, we do not desire to do this; we arc anxious only
that the truth in relatiOn to our Remedy should be told,
In order to secure for it a seputation far exceeding any

A party already insured for whole life may, on pay

Parties already insured and entitled to a two-third

Ithis become customary in the Atlantic eithia for con
gregations to insure the lives of their pastors, and on
Christmas or New Year's day to make the family a pre
sent of the policy. This is certainly an excellent way
of showing their regard for their Minister, whose salary
in very many cases is seareely , equal to his immediate
wants. To the man of family, at his death, it is a con
solauon beyond expression to know that his helpless
little ones are thus provided for.
Churches involved, would do well to insure the lives
of one or more of the tru.stees, at svhose demise the
amount would , be applied to liqutdate the debt.
