Scone' I. That from and alter the passage of
this act, in addition to the several requlrementsand
regulations contained in the laWs now existing, rel
ative to the licensing of Inns Taverns and houses,
for the sale of spiritoue, vinous and malt liquors, it
shall be the duty of the Court of the County of Al
legheny, when any remonstrance shall be made to
the said Court, againsttbo licensing of any inn, tay.
ern or house to sell spirituous, 'lnoue or malt
liquors imleita quantity than one quart, to isaue a
summons, subprena or attachment, for the persons
signing the petition or application for such license,
who shall be sworn of affirmed according to law,

that the applicant is well prepared and well quali

go to the person prosecuting and suing for the same,
