Spirits. The medium is one lately discovered—a girl some sixteen years of age. She has no father or mother, is almost entirely uneducated, .can read 'bat little, and writes 'none. To suppose she can practice a jugglery. which Signor Burs cannot successfully do, is a stretch of credulous presumption too tar fetched for our belief. The Interview was highly interesting. The mm diem had not been seated but a moment, when alight detonations, like electric sparks, were beard. It was not long before we were In fall communion with what purported to be spirits of our departed frioada. We would give details of the questions and answers as they occurred, were' ot these interviews now so common as to lose their interest with the public. In every part of the country there are me. ilium; in many families these ore private as yet, for fear of public odium; but the spirits all say that this now light now dawning upon the world, will soon break into open day, and none shall say, know thou the truth, for all shall know it from the least to the • greatest. The thinking and candid portion of community are ratified on those three points; First, that there are actual rapping., 2d; That these rapping are not made by mediums, or any other person or persona present ; 3d, That the responses by rapping. are coupled with (atilt genes possessed by no one pres. eat. So far, all candid observers of this phoneme. na, believe, and many do not stop tore, but give full faith and credence to the whole spiritual theory. The incredulous but honest Inquirer after truth is slow to believe nnything so mysterious beyond the most strict warrant of the facts. He has got to hear the rapping, and know that they are not the pro. dections of a trick. When satisfied or thii, he baits between fact and opinion, examines all the details of the phenomena, distrusts even his Monde, and sometimes doubts his own senses. But fame push him on. Fran Ns 73/airren7le dpatathian, May 7. Bold Robbery—Female Yidlidos. A most bold and daring robbery was committed at the house of Mr. William M'Crea, on the road from Blairsville to Indiana, about six miles from this place, on Saturday week. Mr. M'Crea and his family were all out of the house, the women being in the garden near by, when the houie was entered, and about $5OO in gold, silver, and bank notes etoten. Circumstances fix the crime be. gond doubt upon two women supposed to be of the -name of Reinhart, and who seem to have I reached a depth of eaten) , seldom attained by 1 either sex. It was not known for several days that the robbery bad taken place, the money not being missed; but when inquiry was made, it be came apparent that it had taken place as above stated; the two persons in the garden hiving seen the two women on the road near the house at that time. They were seen shortly afterwards running on the road to Indiana at the top of their speed; and at Daniel Smith's, two miles from M'Crea's, were observed near a fence as though endeavoring to elude observation. When it be. came known that the robbery bad been comb milted, an examination was made, ° and Mr. *Creels purse, and a paper which he had wrap. pad round his money, were found at the spot where they had stopped. The women ware traced as far as Stoystown Bedford county, where all trace of them was lost. .They have for some time been ranging over the country in different directions; and in several plates made inquiry as to where the most wealthy people resided; and, Avberever beard of, they have carried a most bold and impudent demeanor—entering houses and taking the most audacious liberties with every thing about them. From the descriptions given of them, and in. formation which bas , tea, it is reeNrcil tolerably certain that - they are mother and daugh ter, named Barbara and Satan Reinhart, the for mer of Nebel:it was some time ago sent to prison in Meadville for theft, and the daughter sentenced to the Rouse of Correction. A gentleman from Canton, Ohio, also states that persons of the CM same and description' were formerly about that place, end he gives them the worst character ! imaginable. From all that can be learned, they ' se erdsteeped in crime to an alas oat line redi ble exten t lo'order to aid if possible in their arrest, we give the description of them which has been given us. The eldest is a stout built German woman, about forty or fifty years of age, of medium height, dark complexion, with high cheekbones, . eunkea cheeks, and eyes, rather inclining to a squint; and in general appearance is rough and masculine. She speak' broken English, and is terribly abusive when raised: She wore a black silk dress silk apron, lisle black bombazine cape wit h fringe, and.' dark velvet bonnet with, light blue trimmings. The younger is a rather fair, good looking, black-eyed girl, of about sixteen or eighteen, and of a neat form. She bad on a brown alpacca dreg, silk, apron, and gingham sun bonnet. Of the money stolen, 65.er $7O was in bank notes, 200 dots, in gold, and 'the remainder in envoi. The following ie a description of the paper money, with the exception that two of the 55 on the Merchants' mad Menufacturem' Bank of Pittsburgh were not in the 1b stolen, having been taken out a short time previously; and as it can not be ascertained which two were taken, we give the whole list; which may perhaps lead to some clue for the detection of; the thieves : 7 One 10 dol. bill of the tqink of Gettysburg, letter A.
