ON Tuesday afternoon, July 23,1843, the undersigned
were called upon by Messrs. Lipfencott A Barr, to
witness an honest and fair test of one o. their Fhccoix
Safes. The furnace being prepared, tee Sole w i•nlaced
inside thereof, with books, papers and some money; when
the door of the Safa was closed and the fire kindled at :.

four and a half boars, when the committee expressed
their satisfaction thatthoume occupied with such heat
