Is respectfully invited to the following truths, set forth tn
relation to on* of' the most important Remedies qf mod
ern times!
■ . .< j* *.
« .. i. ..
IT is nounoro than one year ago since this great rem
edy was brought before the public, for the relief and
cure, of disease. Its great powers to heal, have, since
then; become fully appreciated by the community, and
we allege that the longer il ls tned the more.certain will
Its great fame spread. It is not the remedy.of ft. day,
got up for the solepurposo of xn&ktug money; but, one*
which we conceive, will continue to be used when all
nostrums have been, forgotten. The PETROLEUM is
a Natural Remedy, elaborated in the depths of the earth
by a power and agency thdt laughs to acorn alt human
competition. It is our dnly v wuen we write about a
medicine, that we wnte txutk—that we say nothing
calculated to deceive those who may trust our word ar
pat confidence In our statements. The sick are very
apt lb catch at any thing that promises relief from, dis
ease. A.itory.ean hardly bo too highly wrought to on
swer tho object of gulling or humbugging some of them.
Now, we do not desire to do this; we arc anxious only
that the truth In relation to our Remedy should be tola,
in order to secure for it a reputation far exceeding any
single article of themoimafnedtea. Plain, unvarnished
facts—-fact* that may be ascertained in our own city and
neighborhood, beat ample testimony in, favor of the Pe
troteom.
