to see the prisoner once more brought before him—

The Court sentenced him to two years imprison
ment in the Western Penitentiary,, on the first in
dictment, the robbery of.Beckham’s store, und one
rear od the second, the robbery of Park’s store.
Robinson was discharged by proclamation, and
Skilca was remanded.

Harrisburg, April 2.
Tho Buppcrlo Darnel Webster last night was a
sumptuous affair. It look place at Banders*.Hotel.
The company was large, comprising the Governor,
members of the Legislature, heads of Departments,
and many citixena. Mr. Webator replied briefly lo
a toast—expressing his belief that the. Union was
safe, and that onr only duty now was to sustain the
Compromise acts, bequeathing them to our children,
and tho Union na we received it from oar ancestors,
one and undivisable.
Speeches wore made by the Governor and. Legis
lators. The evening passed off agreeably.
This morning Secretory Webster, accompanied by
the Governor, Senators Cameron, Cooper and others,
.visited the Pennsylvania Railroad Bridge, and tho
Senate and House of Representatives. In the after
noon ho dined with Gen. Cameron, at Middletown.
