The woathor, the past Tow days,-was quite upfa*
vorable for out door transactions. Yesterday, how^
ever, tbe weather cleared off and was delightful. -
Qur rivers are fleod high, and wo are informed 1 that
[ all the tributaries along- the Allegheny river have
been very high, which will enable the iron men to
bring their metal to market,.and. the lembermeir
tbeir lumber; The receipts by riverhave been large;
and Increasing in anticipation of the opening of our
canal, which mill be now In a few days. •*
The markote,.since our last -report,-have not un
dergone any material change. - Provisions, howev
er, tend upward, and for most articles in that lino,-,
sellers hold.for higher iiguruß. - - ,]
APPLES—We. note sales of about 200 bbls, at
the wharl,: at Si to 1-,15 por bbl.f out of stores $l,,
16 to 1,2 b is obtained.
BUTTER—There has been a fair demand, with
somewhat increased consumptive demand ; tho
stock in firsthands is considerably reduced, although
we cannot report any advanco in prices. Tho trade
generally is better. Among the sales we note 21
bbls. roll.at 10 to lie.-; 6 bbls.- -choice -at 12c.; 40
kegs at 7c. -
