witness an honest and fair test of one ot their Phamix
Safes. The furnace being prepared* tad Safe wah placed
infeida thereof, with books, papers and ftorntmoney- when
the door of the Safe was closed and the fire kindled at a
quarter past 2 o'clock, and in a short Juno the Safe was
red hot, and continued till naif post 0 o’clock, being about
four and a half hours, when the Committee expressed
their satisfaction that the tune-occupied with such heat
was sufficient. The furnace was theu pulled down-Safe
coolciLand door opened—the. bopks, papers and money
sale. The heat, was rq great as to melt off the brass
mountings. Wo therefore take pleasure in recommend*
