The following' is tho substance of the royal speech:
.'“Her Majesty wilt announce, that sho has re

and is gratified to know-thal peace has been restored
in.thoso States in the North of .Europe, so lately
either engaged in war or preparing to: comafbnce

possessions and colonies the people arc contented
and happy* The manufacturers are in active em«

Her Majesty regrets that in some, countries agricul

to bestow territorial titles on ecclesiastics, and to
distribute the country into Diocessos.
: Her Majesty would direct' attention to the trade
with Brazil, v and soggests the desirableness of ar

This speech is more than usually vogue, and re*
markable for a studied evasion of the irritating to
pics. There is no alluslpn .’Whatever to financial
matters bevond -the customary promises of docu
ments,&c., being hid before the Legislature; and
.the reference to the papal aggression is of the mildj
est kind, as if she was desirood to pass over, as
mildly as possible, a disagreeable question. The
course adopted, you may rely on it, is wise and
politic.
There fans been a debate in the French Assembly, i

once of a confirmed consumptive; llabored under a,
severe cough, expectorated a great deal, and was trou
bled with cola feet and mghtsweats. . .I also frequently ,
raised blood from my lungs.. I continued in this state,
gradually sinking unoex the disease, nnul January, 4.84*,•
until I wub again attacked with fever.. My extremities,
c*Decially my feet, wero constantly cola, and almost
lostihcirieeling. Under these circumstances it may
truly said thui I was a living skeleton. I finally deter
mined to quit taking inedicinuprescnbed by physicians;
and try Dr Wiuar’s Balsam of Wild Cherry, and from,
the first week that I commenced taking it I can date a
gradual recovery. I continued its use six months, atthe
end of which time I was cured, and have enjoyed good i
health ever since, and cheerfully recommend the Bal
sam to all those afflicted wuh diseases of the lungs, and
would say to those commencing us use uot to ue die-,

persevere as I have done, and I have no doubt bat nine

Messrs. Sanford $ Park: 1 take this opportunity of
informing you of a most remarkable cure performed on
me by the use of Dr. Wiatat’s Balsam of Wild Cherry.
In the year 1840 1 was taken wuh tho inflammation
of the bowels, which 1 labored, under tor six weeks,
■wheul gradually recovered. • In the fallof JS4II was
attacked with a severe cold, wluoh seated itself upon
! my lungs, and for the space of three years I was con
i fined to my bed- I tried ull kinds of raedicmes and «ve
i ry variety of aid without benefuj and thus I weaned
i along until the winter of 1845, when 1 heard of Dr. Wiflr
i tar’s Balsam of Wild Cherr>.
My friends persuuded me in give it a trial.- though I
i. had given up all hopes of recovery, and haa prepared
myself for the cbange.of another world. Throaglitheir
solicitations! was induced to make use of the. genuine
!F»«ar 5 $ Balsam of TVtld Cherry. The effect was truly
astonishing. After five ycarSof affliction and suffering,
and after- having spent four or five hundred dollars to nO
Eurposc, ana the best and most respectable physicians
ad proved unavailing,! was soon restored to entire
i health by.the blessing of God, and the mo of Dr. Wis
i taihtßalsamof Wild Cherry.
i . May tho blessing of God rest upon the proprietors of
so valuable a medicine* as Wistaria Balsam of Wild
i Cherry. Yours,respectfully, W.H.BAKER. ,
