BUTTER—The market continues doll; now and then we have reported a bbl at 10 to 12 for choice; .in kegs there is nothing doing; we quote nominal at 7to 8. We perceive, by the Cincinnati market, that hotter is much lower there than here. Seward, Chase and Hamblin, for the repeal of the fugitive slave law, which were laid on the table; Mr. Gwin introduced a bill to provide for the eatablishment of a mint in California. ‘ A bill to distribute the annals of Congress was re ported, and ordered to be engrossed.. House. —The House resolved itself into commit tee of the whole, and took np the bill to, establish a board of accounts for settling claims agninst the Government. Mr. McLean, of Kentucky, spoke in favor of the bill, and Mr. Daniel in opposition. There is considerable excitement here to-day among the colored population in regard to Mabels Parnell, a fugitive slave, who is now Having a hear ing before the U. 8. Commissioner. The avenues to the court room are crowded to sufibcation, and the Marshal’s Police are employed to keep the foot ways clear. , The steamer Erickson; running between thin and Baltimore, was cut through by the ice at New Castle and euok. She had a large cargo of valua ble goods,-which, with the vessel, is suppposed to be a total loss. The crew were saved. The Georgia arrived this morning, bringing the California mails, 365 passengers, $105,000 in gold on freight and about 8700,000 in the hands of the pas sengers.
