Itis now elope on four years since we first introduced
tin rooSn,q in thtscity.. During that time we have cover
ed over filly thousand square feet of roofs with tin plate,
and in all cases we believe we have given the most en
tire satisfaction. This kind of roof has been applied to
the very best buildings in this city, including, among a
largo number of others, the two superb buildings on Penn
street, owned by Sohn L. Shoenberger and John Bissel,
Esqrs. That tin roofingqwhen skiliftilly laid on) . is both
permanent and dnrable, there can be no doubt; in proof
of this, we can refer tO the almost universal application
of this kind of roofing in hie large cities on the sea-board
during the last twenty years; and from enquiring on the
subject, we have yet to learn of any one of those roofs
having been worn oat. The roofs covered with tin in
our own city are open to the examination of all who take
an illlOrtit in the mutter. We have also prepared a
miniature plin of roofs,,which may . be seen at our estab
