The course of Study will embrace the common branch
es of an English Education, and the higher departments
of the English Sciences ; with the Luun, Greek. French

Pupils can be thoroughly prepared to enter College
intelligently and unembarrassed. The course of study
for those not destined for College, is both comprehensive
and practical.
Te government of the Institution will be mild, yet de
cided. Authority will always be sustained by reason and
affection; and to secure n proper regard to the general
government of the School, our process is, first, we en
deavor to convince the pupil that what we require is
reasonable; next, that it secures his own personal itIIAT •
est, as well as the good of the whole. Punishments for
misdemeanors when abrolutely . necessary, are of such a
nature, as to affect rather the mind than the body ; not as
satisfaction for the °dance, but as a prevention to the
recurrence of similar offences. Having found this mode
of government preferable, it will be adopted in future.
Strict attention will be paid to the Physical, the Intel

School.
