2b Non-resident Holders of Illinois Lands—Holders of
Illinois indebtedness, and all persons desir
ous of purchasing Suns Lands with
.illinair scrip or bonds.
rIiHE undersigned would reapectfully inform the public
that they have established in 'this city—the capital of
the State of Illinois—a LAND and GENERAL AGEN-
C Y OFFICE, (or the transaction of all business apper
taining thereto, within the limits of the Slate.
All transacuans relative to the purchase and sale of
lands, examining lands add reporting their location, ad
vantages and value, paying taxes, redeeming. land sold
for taxes, investigating titles, /cc., buying and selling ail
descriptions of State indebtedness; this and every other
description of haziness attached to a General Land
Agency, on the most extended scale, will be promptly
and fanhfully attended to.
In regard to location, we have many advantages over
all other agencies in the State, being at the Capital, near
the centre of the Stale, and at the very fountain-head o '
all information iu relation to matters connected with
lands. taxes, and State indeotedness, through the medium
of the go rernment and executive offices. In addition to
this important advantage, the senior partner, Mr. Ash,
has occupied, for several years, the position of principal
Clerk in the State Auditor s' office, and having had charge
of the books and State land department in said office, has
obtained a thorough knowledge on all subjects connect
ed with thin agency; and we are, therefore, euabletlntall
times to give correct and prompt information, much is
advance of any other agency in the State. Our location
is also important to non-residents wishing to pay taxee,
as our acquaintance with the collectors of the revenue is
such that we can obtain the tax receipts through the
mail, and the money paid directly into the State treasu
ry thereby avoiding the risk of remitting funds by mail.
We also beg leave to inform persona wishing to pur
chase State lands, that our arrangements are such, that
we can, at all times, furnish State ponds, scrip, or indebt
edness in any . amount, and at less rates than any other
office in the State.
In conclusion, we take pride in referring to the char
acter and standing of the gentlemen who have been kind
enough to permit us to use their names as references, and
with ci sincere desire to please, backed by Sdelity, indus

RHEUMATISM, GOUT, AND TIC DOLOSEUL--
A respectable gentleman called at our office as le
said, to inform us that he had been afilictrid, for /5 -years
with Itheumatism or Goat and occasionally_ with Tic
Dolmen"; that he . bad•been ' , frequently eonfirted to , his
room for months together, and often suffered the glostin
tense and excruciating pain, but that:lately herhad. been
using .rayne's Alteratire, from which he fonnd the most sig
nal and nnexpected relief. He says he found the medi
cine very pleasant and effective, and, that he now eon
shiers himself perfectly cured.--P/aW,lphiallorrhAntes
iron.
A Fact. Werra Knownws.--A gentleman.of Scrofidous
I habit, from indiscretion in his younger days, became af
fected with Ulcerations in'the Throat and Nose, and a
disagreeable eruption of the Skin: Indeed,, his whole
system bore the marks of being'saturated with 'disease.
One hand and twist were so meth affected that bolted
lost the use of the hand, every part being covered with
deep, painful, and offensive ulcers, -and were as hollow
and porous as an ltoney-comb. It was at this stag e . of his
complaint, when death appeared yitabl a from loath
some disease, that he commenced of Jayne's -Al
terative, and having taken sixteen bottles, is nowperfeet
ly cured.
The Alterative operates through the circulation, arid
purifies the blood and eradicates disemie froutthe system,
wherever located, and the nrunerons; cares it het per
formed in diseases of the akin, cancer, serofula, goat,
liver complain; dyspepsia pnd other chronic diseases, lb
truly astonishing.—Spwit qj the 'Miles.
