Coffee—The sales for the week are only 600 bags

Feathers--Sales to fill orders at the current rates,

Fish—We have heard of no change in shad; the
sales are limited at $5 75a5 871. Herrings are sell
ing at $4 . 25a4 50 for Potomac and Susqfiehanne, and
s4a4 121 for North Carolina. Mackerel are pretty
active at $4 75a5 25 for Halifax 2', and Ps new
No. 3 ssas 25.
Flour and Mtal—When we left the market at the
close of our last week , / 'review sales were making
to a moderate extent, of Howar d flour at 4 50.
Sales to a limited extent were made on Saturday at
the same price, and on Monday and Tuesday about
800 bbls. were disposed of at similar figures.--.
Wednesday being.the anniversary of Independence,
nothing was done. On Thursday it was announced
that tlie steamer Canada had arrived, with one
week's later advices from Europe. The news was
received and published in the Sun extra. Thin had
the effect of unsettling the market, though sales were
made to the anent of about 700 bbls. at g 4.50, and
closing firm. ' The stock on hand is moderate. City
Mills—Millers are manullicturing but moderately.
We note sales during the week to the extent of a
hout.3,ooo bhls. at $4 62, which is . the present price.
Susquehanna, no sales. Corn Meal is dull at 2 62a
2 75. -Rye flour 63. The inspections of flour for
tbe past week comprise the following kinds and
quantities, viz: Howard street, 4,352 bbls.,and 28
half do.; City Mille, 2,238 bbla. and 426 half do.;
Susquehanna, 60 bbla.; Family, ' 256 bbls. —making
in all 6,906 tibia. and 454 half bbls.; besides 186 bbl,
rye flour; and 358 bbls. corn Meal.
Oil—We give sales of Winter Sperm, natural and
bleached; at. 1 - 20 to $l. 25; Spring do. do. 1 15a$1
20; Summer do. i 1041 15; bleached winter patent
55c.; spring do 50c.; Whale 42a45c.
Provisionsi---Bacon; There is no new feature to
notice—price* remain about as last quoted. There
was nothing done on Wednesday, and the market
since has been quiet.: We note sales of 25 casks.
Sides at 61c.; 16 at W.; some few parcels extra at
W.; loose bring 6/c., with sales of 18;000 lbs. at
I that price. Shoulders tolerably plenty; sales of 20
casks rough at 51 cente, 50 'at 5f cents; and city
smoked at sameprice.Plain hams at 7 a 8 c ent,,

Beef—NoChange in prices since our last, the market
moderately supplied, but sufficiently so for the wants
of the trade. No.. 1 sells in limited lota at $l2 to 12
50. Lard; This market is languid, very little ex
ported. .Sales ofsome 200 kegs at lie cash; also
150 bbls. early in the week at 7c per lb.
Rice—Sales at 3101 cents. '
Leather—The sales are to'a fair extent aed.prices
remain as followa: Spaniels sole 16a18c.; country
slaughter and rough skirting, 1 17a201c; finished
/ekirting-19a28c; tipper, $2 25a3 50 per hide; calf
skins, 40c per lb.; or 14a$18 per doz.
Cattle—There were 350 head offered on Monday,
of which umber 320 were sold at 3 25a 4, equal to
6 5028, averaging 3 621 gross weight. The balance

the persons doing Maumee in the city, in conformity

sales, as near as can be ascertained; said affidavit is to
