Land and General Agency:Genoa,
AT TAX CAPITAL OW haaxop4Vm or Spamomm
To Non-rsaident Holders of Illinois Lands—Holders of
Illinois indebtedness; and all venom desir
ous of purchasing Suitt Lands with ,
iffinais scrip or bonds.. . _
THE undersigned would respetitfally . infornithe public
that they have established in this cay—the capital of
the State of Illinois—a LAND and. GENERAL MIEN-
C Y OFFICE, for the transaction of all business apper
taining diertitgiWithin the limit's of the State.'.
All All transactions relative to the perchase and sale of
lands, examining lands add reporting their location, ad
vantages and value, paying taxes, redeeming land sold
for taxes, investigating titles, &c., and selling all
deseripuons of State indebtedness; this and every other
description of bnsiness attached to a General Land
Agency, on the most extended Scale r will be promptly
a. d faithfully attended to.
In regard to location, we have many advantages over
all other agencies in the State, being at the Capital, near
the centre of the State, and at the. very fountam-head of
all information in relation to' matters connected with
lands, taxes, and State'indeotedriess, through the medium of the go remittent and executive offices. In addition'to
this important advantage, the senior partner, Mr. Ash,
has occupied,"for several years, the position of principal
Clerk in the State Auditor's office,Strid having had charge
of the books and State land department in stud office, has
obtained a thorough knowledge on all subjeCts connect
ed with thiragencyf and we are, therefore, enabled at all
Mlles to give correct and prompt information, much in
advance of any other agency in the State. Oar location
is also important to noirresidents wishing to pay taxes,
asbur acquaintance with the collectors of the revenue is
such that we can obtain' the tax receipts through the
mail, and the money paid directly into the State treain•
ry, thereby avoiding the risk of remitting funds by mail.
We also beg leave to inform persons wishing to pur•
chase State lands, that oar arrangements are suchi that,
we can, at all times, furnish State bonds, scrip,,or indebt
edness in any amotint,Mad at less rates than any other office in the State.
In conclusion we take pride in referring to the char
acter and standing of the gentlemen who have been kind
enough to perinit ustousetheir names as serener:ices, and
with n sincere desire to please, backed, by fidelity,,,indus•
try and promptitude in all our business transactions, to
merit the confidence of all who may entrust-their lank
ness to our hands.- • - ASH !a:DILLER
