FRUIT..There was a sale of 500 bu FeaNnta on
the wharf at 62c.; re•sales at 680170 c. The market
seems to stiffen. Salei at $l,OO in a small way.
Lemons are unchanged'; but Oranges have hien put
into the hands of one houie and prices have advan
ced to 64,00, at which sales were brisk
,yesterday.
LEATHER.:No change in any kind except New
York Red which ha* been selling at a cent higher
than we have been quoting. We now say, 18c. for
light weights; 19 c. for heavy. .
QFLOUR..The market seems unchanged; it is
remarkableAlint prices are maintidned here while
declining in the East. The sales yesterday were
at $3,00.

The eupply of money for.the transaction ofproduce
business has been pretty fkir, nod the market has
consequently been tolerably easy. Sight drafts on
the East are at I per cent. premium. lime bills are
negotiated at I p cent. per month diecouit. Sight
drafts on Pittsburgh are at l'premium ; on Cincinnati
at par ;on Louisville - the same. Brokers draw on
New Orleana at / per cent:premium. Time bills are
disposed of at .1 to 2 per cent: discount.
Lind-The market has been rather unsteady, and
to-day has been entirely inactive. , Sales on Thurs
day ol 1,194 - pigs Upper Mines 4483,65, and 3,100
pigs Upper . Mines in two lota at 113,77/013,80,•and
yesterday of 6= pigs do. at 83,75 per 100 lbs.
Sales of Bacon have been rather limited. A lotof
16 eke thoulder* and• barna,. country cured, was
taken on Thursday at 3ifitse; on yesterday, no large
sales ; to . day, gales of 73 casks, shealdera 31, sides

8 and 10, will be lot, embracing considerable rock work
along the Potomac river bluffs, and the masonry of sev
eral bridges on section Ist Also, all the, sections from
30 to 45, inclusive, (excepting sections 43 and 44,)begtn
ning 28 miles from Cumberland, about a mile below the
mouth of Savage river, and terminating at the summit of
the mountain. The works upoh these sections is heavy;
containing much` rock excavations and two •tunnelsi
• each about 600 feet in length, and a atone bridge of con
siderable size. The whole number of sections now to
. let is 30. in the course of the , spring and summer nri
Wards of 30 more heavy sections will be put under con
'tract between Cumberland and Three Forks creek. The
