Busineas was very'dull on Saturday, notwithstand
ing the weather was beautiful.
FLOUR—No sale from first hands; sales from
'store by dray load at" f 3,75. The Foreign News
rather depressed the market, for the news is not as
favorable as some hoped for.
{WOOL.—Prices have advanced ; and the tendency
is still upward. The causes are, the advance in Eu
rope, and the increased demand- for woolen goods
in this country for California emigrants, &c. There
is not much in the hands of Washington county far.
mere now—the last year stocks having been dispos
ed of. The receipts are mostly of pulled Wool,
which is irorth 23024 c.; we quote common at 25c.;
From common to highest grade we quote at 25a40c.
This is a very considerable advance, and the news
will be gratifying to wool growers.
