Dealers fear to touch the article at presents and in consequence there appears to be a still downward tendency in the market.- We consider e 4,2524,37 as fair quotations for yesterday, from wharf; from store $4,5004,56. ID — The only cause of the decline is the breach in the canal. The lines refuse to receipt for Flour at less than 2.4,10 fit• bbl.; and the handling at Freeport is bad—the bbls. are so covered with mad that dief will be con demned, in all probability, in the East. , Feathers—There appears to be an upward tenden cy in the market, an advance below has caused a better feeling here. The lumber from the section of country above the Glean river, a tributary to the Allegheny, has very generally, this sea on, sold at $lOO2O, while most of that from the lower northern tributaries was some thing less, it being generally inferior in 4uality to that from the upper lumber country. We note a sale of 300 M shingles, No 1, at $3,35. The range of the market is $32/3,50 at river. Of the sup- ply is likely to be about the came as last year-30 to 35 millions It.
