UNIIIiUSIIING IMPUDENCE.—Front a putinsilvd
U card of Al'Calinont & Bond, of Philadelphia, the
public would he led to believe that we have been claim
mg a privilege we had no right to. That " they have
abandoned. some time since, the exclusive agency sys
tem," and that we have right to claim nezeltisive privil
eges with their teas." I never pretended to sell the teas
of this spurious concern. I have been selling the tens of
the New, York Pekin Ten Company for the last two
years ' ns the public are aware, and have been to New
York four times in that time, and never heard oh' this new
concern until lately but as wool dealers.
The tea business of M'Callmont & Bond is about eight
months old, and their assumption of the Pekin Ten Coin
pany's name is because a name is open for any man or
firm to as: untie; but the fact intended to imply thereby.
that they have any connection with the so called and
well known Pekin Tea Company of Now York. is entire
ly false, they having been dented even an agency in
Philadelphia, for the New York Company, that Company
having refused even thus far to confide in them.
I know not what kind of wool they keep, nor what kind
of teas; I am only certain that they keep or obtain none
of the,Pekin Tea Company's of New York.
Any person reading thin card will see the gross decep
tion they wish to practice on the public, and to the injury
of my business. M'Callmont & Bond are wool dealers
in Philadelphia, and have sent an agent out here to pull
wool over the eyes of same of our good citizens. Look
on' for the black sheep. rtinvl9l' AI.EX.JAYNES.
