A . New BoAr.—The following is from the Wheel-
ing Times :
THE-W.GH LAND MARY No. 2, is the name of
a new and elegant light water boat that left our
wharf on Saturday. She is owned by her captain,
Burke, her clerk, Mr. Woods, and Messrs. Hobbs &
Taylor; engine builders. She will carry a full load
of passengers on 20 inches water, arid can carry 300
to 350 tons of freight. Her cabin is very neat and
elegant, and furnished with much - taste by Messrs
WI & Harbour. Her state rooms are large apd
ad as well furnished as any of the first class
boats.
She is supplied with two great preservatives against
accidents, which are important to safety. A float
to let.the . steam escape'when the waters get too low,
and a steam pipe running into the hold, by which
the worst fire that could occur there could be put
out in a minute.
We commend the Highland Mary to the public as
worthy of its patronage.
