msti-irtm Commercial Auction
New York Pekin Tea Com any.
CAUTION TO THE PUBLIC.
A LEX.ANDER JAYNES is the only authorized agent
.t 1 in Pittsburgh and Allegheny cities, for the sale of
the Pekin Tea Company's Teas of 75 and 77 Fulton at.,
New York. Any other person in Pittsburgh pretending to
sell our Teas is an imposter, and deceives nil who may
'patronize him. It is commonly known that the Pekin
Tea Company's Teas have proved superior to all other
Teas sold, and far this reason many persons have dishon
estly pretended to have the sale of the Pekin Tea Com
pany's Teas, when they are all the time vending trash
and cheep stuff. which they have obtained elsewhere.—
Others main assume the name of the Pekin Tea Com
pany and inmate our packages, and thereby deceive
many.
We err informe,l that there is a person in Pittsburgh
telling Teas under - the name of the New York and Phila
delphia Pekin Tea Company. We have only to say that
this assumed company have no connexion, whatever,
with the New York Fekin Tea Company, as consumers
of tea will readily discover by comparing the article they
sell with the genuine tea, sold by the New York Pekin
Tea Company, at the store of Alexander Jaynes, No. 72
Fourth street.
N. B.—Messrs. AIcCALLMONT /c BOND. of Philadel
phia, have no connexion, whatever, with the New York
Pekin Tea Company, nor have they any right or privi
lege to sell teas under a name so nearly resembling ours
as to have a tendency to mislead the public.

IMPUDENCE.—From a published
U card of M'Calmont & Bond, of Philadelphia, the
public would be led to believe that we have been claim
mg llprivilege we had no right to.- That "they have
abandoned, some time since, the exelusive agency try's
tem," and that we have right to claim "exclusive limit
' egos with Heir tens" I never pretended to sell the teas
of this spurious concern. I hare been selling the teas of
the New York Pekin Tea Company for the last two
years,as the public are aware. and • have been • to New
York four times in that time, and never heard of this new
concern until lately but as wool dealers.
The tea business of M'Callmont & Bond is about eight
months old, and' their assumption of the Pekin Tea Com
pany's name is because a name is open for any man or
firm to assume ; but the fact intended to imply thereby,
that they have any connection with the so called and
well known Pekin Tea Company of New York, is entire
ly false, they having been denied even an agency in
Philadelphia, for the New York Company, that Company
hating refused even thus far to confide in them.
I know not what kind of wool
they keep, or
What kind
of teas; lam only certain that keep or obtain one
of the Pekin Tea Company's of New York.
Any person reading this card will see the gross decep
tion they wish to practice on the public, and to the injury
of my business. 111'Callmont &Bond are wool dealers
In Philadelphia, and have sent an agent out here to pull
wool over the eyes of some of our good citizens. Look
out for the Mack sheep. fnot , lol ALEX. JAYNES.
