The weather was fine yesterday. and business:active
Floor—The news of a declinein Flonrwas given us

but few below or by wagon. We heard of several sales,

Plg Met 41—\Ve heard of but few transactions yes
terday. Both buyers and sellers hold vut strongly. The
difference is not more than - -a dollar ie. tun. The furnace
men complain bitterly of the attempts to create a panic,
by politicians, who are desirous that their predictions of
ruin may be verified. Their interests have been nffeeted
by those alarmists. It is yet doubtful which party will
be compelled to yield. The Metal is reported all down.
and for a few days there will be great. xcitement among
• the dealers. The asking rate yesterday was shout 631.
where S3O was offered. Sales of 235 tons Eagle at 831,
