UNBLUSH ING IMPUDENCE—From a published
card of M’Callmont it Bond, of Philadelphia, the
public would be led to believe that we have been
claiming a privilege we had no right to. That“they
have abandoned some time since, the exclusive
agency system,” and that we have right to claim
“exclusive privileges with their teas.” I never
pretended to sell the tcosof this spurious concern.
I havo been selling the teas of the Nt w York Pekin
Tea Company for the last two years, as tho public
are aware, and have been to New times
in that time, and never heard of this nm> concern
until lately \jut as wool dealers.
The tea business of M’Callmont & Bond ib about
eight mouths old, and their assumption of the Pe
kin Tea Company’s name is because a name is open
for any man or firm to assume; but the fact intended
to imply thereby, that they have any connection
with the so called and well known Pekin Tea Co.
of Now Yoijk, is entirely false, they having bccn-.dc*
nied even an agency in Philadelphia, for the New
York Company, that Company having refused even
thus far to confide in them* ' «>
I know not what kind of-wool they keep, nor
what kind of teas; I am only certain that they keep
or obtain none of the'Pekin Tea Company’s of New
York.
Any person reading this card will sec the gross
deception they wish to practice on the public, and
to the injury of my business. M’Callmont 4* Bend
