Business yesterday was rather active. Produce
came in briskly, and was generally bought up by
dealers.
BUTTER—Several sales for shipment was ef
fected 20 bbls. Prime Roll for Eastern market, was
reported at 13c ; 4 bbls. at 12} ; several lots at
12c. The demand is rather good, as is also the
supply.
WHEAT—Some arrivals yesterday, which were
freely taken at at 95c.
BARLEY—A sale of several sacks at wharf at
45c.; one holder asked 50c. without success.
CLOVER SEED—Sales of 0 bbls at $4 12,
which is a fair quotation from store.
TIMOTHY SEED—SaIe of 50 bus. at $2 25,
the highest figure reported to us lately.
BUCKWHEAT FLOUR—Several lots taken,
mostly for shipment down the river; $1 50 is a
firm quotation from first hands.
FLOUR—Receipts rather large ; sales from wa
gon at $4 8704 90 ; at river, the same prices are
about correct. Holders seemed determined to get
a higher price, and $4 95 was generally asked,
and in some cases $5 00.
RYE FLOUR—A sale from first hands at $ 3 ,-
70 ; another at $3 -75.
SUGAR—SaIes of Priine new by hhds. at 4i

MOLASSES—No change ; sales at 27c.

Mrs. Margaret Clemons, of Columbus, Ohio, has
