bu - sines has been transacted. Prices have
;been pretty firm, and without any matetial change.
i f.* quotations below, we flatter ourselves, will be

MONEY—The money market is very qujet,
, but the demarid for currency, as well as par funds,
ja,lncreaaing, in cqnsequence of many of our whole
„sale grocers preparing to purchase their winter
stocks of Sugar and Molasses in the south. We
,notice that currency has slightly iinproved during

sell at 1 per cent, discount. The banks have plenty
of paper offered, and we believe all that is consid
ered good is "done."
ASHES—AII kinds continue scarce, in cones
,Ftnence cif -the great demand foi glass. We

la EST COUGH MEDICINE ur THE VirO*l.*
Another evidence •of the superiority of Dr.
WillarcPsCough Mixture over all others. /lead the
following certificate from a iespectable citizen of
the Fifth Ward: _
Prrrspuzion, Nov. 3, 1547.
This certifies that for Some weeks past I wastrOub
led with a very serious cough, which was evidently
becoming seated on the lungs to such an extent as
to resist the effeck_of every medicine which I had
been using. I was finally persuaded to call at Nays
Drockwars Drug 'Store, and get a bottle of Dr.
„kVillard , s Oriental Cough Mixture; which, to •my
great anrprise, relieved me very much; after taking
only two or three doses, and beore I had used one
bottle, I was entirely cured. I was so much pleased
with its effects that I have brought others. to buy it,
and shall continue to recommend it to my friends,
as /firmly belfeue it tope the best cough nfedicine in
