With Mr. Townsend I. have been acquainted from

have known him always as a faithful and compe

those who may offer him their patronage. lie ban

Mr. Phelps has been associated with me fur many
years in the mercantile business in Manchester. Hr
is known to the public generally as a strictly honest
and enterprising man, and as a partner I have al

Of Messrs. Carr 4- Howland it is not necessary for

Scripture is "in the Blood I. the Life." If it ever be
comes impure, it may be traced directly to the stop.
page Of the inseneibleperspiration. Thug we see; all
that is necessary when the blood is stagnant, or in
fected, is to open the pore', and it relieve* itself from
all impurity irieldnay, Its own heat add vitality arc
sufficient, without one particle cif Medicine, except
to open the pores upon the silence. Thus we see
the' folly of taking so meet, internal remedies.' All
practioners, however, direct their efforts to restore
the Insensible Perspiration. The l i firtrflpfsbiliar 'or
instance, steams, the liydropathist shrothls us in -al
blankets, the Homopathist deals out infinitissimals,l
the Allopathist bleeds and doses us with mercury, 1
and the blustering Quack gorges us with pills, pills,
pills.
To give some idea of the amount of thin Trsensi•
ble Perspiration, we will state that the learned Dr.
Lewenhock; ascertained that five-eights gf all we re
ceive into the stomach, passed off by this means. In ,
other words, if we cat and drink eight pounds per
day, we evacuate five pounds of it by the Insensible
Perspiration.
This is none other than the used up particles m
the blood, and ther juices giving place to the LICNI
and fresh one. To check this, therefore, is to ro•
Lain in the system five-eights of all the virulent matter
that nature demands should leave the body.
By a sudden transition from heat to cold, the pore.
are stopped, the perspiration ceases, and disease be-
gins at once to develops itself. Hence, a stoppage c.
this flow of the juices, originates au many com
plaints.
It is by stopping the pores, that overwhelms man
kind with coughs, colds, and consumption: Pliny
tenths of the world die from diseases induced by a
stoppage of the Insensible Perspiration.
Let me ask, now, every candid mind, what count
seems the most reasonable to pursue, to unstop the
pores, after they are closed. Would you give physic
to unstop the pores? Or would you apply something
that would do this upon the surface, where-the clogs
ging actually is? And yet I know of no physicist'
who makes any external applications to effect it:
Unuer, these circumstances, I present to physicians,
and to all others, McAlister's All-Healing Ointment,
or the World's Salve. It has power to restore per
spiration on the feet, on the head old sores, upon her
chest, in Short, upon any part of the body, whether
diseased slightly or severely.
It baspditlir to cause all external sores, sciofulous
humors, akin diseases, poisonous wounds, to dis
charge their putrid matter, and then heals them.
MEE=
It is a remedy that sweeps Mt the whole catalogue
of cutaneous disorders, and restore the entire cuitcie
to its healthy functions.
It is a remedy that forbids the necessity ofso mans
and de Mteriousdrugs taken into the stomach.
It is a remedy that neither sickens, gives inconve
nience, or is dangerous to the intestines.
It preserves and defends the Surface from all de
rangement of its functions. The surface is the out
let of five eights of the bile and used up matter with
in. It is pierced with millionsof openings to relieve
the intestines. Stop up thes pores, and deathli k nocks
at your door. It is rightly termed All-Healing, for
there is scarcely a disease, external or internal, that
it will not benefit. I have used it fur the last fourteen
years for alf dirreiscs of the chest, consumption, liv
er,involving the utmost danger and responsigility, and
I declare before Heaven and man, that not in one;
single case has it failed to benefit, when the patient
was within the reach of mortal means.
I have had physicians, learned in tire profOion ; I
hare had ministers of the Gospel, .lady. s on the
bench, Aldermen and Lawyers, genticm of the
highest erudition and mull iitides of the poor, use it
in every variety of way, and there has been hut one
vioce—one united and universal voice—saying "NI%

Ave an have any effect upon the lungs, seated as
th •re within the system. But if placed upon the
chest, it penetrates directly to the lungs, seperateir
the poisonous particles that arc consuming them
and ctpels them from the system.
I need no{ sty that it is curing persons of consump
tion continually, although we are told it is foolish.
Hess, I care not what is said, sun long as I can cure
several thousand persons yearly.
IfEADACIIE.—The Salve has rifted persons of
the Headache of ten years standing, and who had it
regularly every week, so that vomiting often took
place.
Deafness and Ear Acho arc helped with like sue•
coax.
COLD FEET.—Consumption„ Liver complaint,
pains in the chest or side, falling Mr the hair, ouo or
the other always accompanies cold feet.
The Salve will cure every case.

WORMS„— If parents knew• how fatal most medi
cines were to children taken inwardly, they would
slow to resort to them. Especially "mercurial
lozenges" called "medicated lozenges," "vermi

variably wit'-it worms are present. Now let me sat
to parents that this Salve will always tell if a child
has worms. It will drive every vestige of them a

There is probably no medicine on the face of thr
earth at once so sure and so safe in the expulsion 01
worms.
TOlLET.—Although I have said little about it as
a hair restorative yet I will stake it against the world!
They use bong their Ods far and near, and mine will
restore the hair two cases to their one.
OLD SORES.—That some Sores are an outlet ts.
ihe impurities of tne system, is, because they cannot

impurities must have some other outlet, or it will en

such emergencies.
lilt EI:MITISM.—It removes almost immediately
the inflammation and swelling, when the pain o

rEvEß.s.—ln all cases of fever, the difficulty lies
in the pores being locked up, so that the heat and
perspiration cannot pass oft If the least moisture
could he started the crisis has passed and the danger

fevers almost instantly unlock the skin and bring forth
the perspiration,
SCALD HEAD.—We have cured cases that acts

had spent S3OO on his children without any benefit,
when a few boxes of the ointment cured them.
CORNS.--Occasional use of the Ointment will al

be troubled with them if they will tine it.
AS A FAMILY MEDICINE.—No man can meas.

The Most Astounding Discovery.
A BLESSING! 'A MIRACLE!! A WONDER.III
To cure Eruptions and Disfigurements of the Skin,
Frerkle!„ - Sanburn, Salt Mietun, Scurry,
Sore Headi,
FOUR years ago fast August, the capital of France
was astonished in consequence of a discovery
made by an Italian Chemist. Many doubted—it seem
cd almost an impossibility that any thing made by
the hands of man, could have such singular powers
as that claimed by AxToran VEsentut fir his invea
tion. Many classed him and his invention as a hum
bug, (aud, alas! many foolish persons without trying,
do the same now;) at length, after testing it in the
hospitals, the Medical Society of Paris, (the' best
chemists in the world) - deliveredtho following report
to Signor Vesprini:
" We have now minutely and carefully examined
the singular invention of Vesprini, We have analyz
ed its component parts—we have used it in several
cases, and we hesitate not to pronounce it (The
Italian Chemical Soap) as a great blessing, and a
truly wonderful remedy for any cutaneous eruption
or disfigurement of the skin. Its inventor we con
sider the true philanthropist of suffering mankind.
(Signed) LEOPOLD DUPREY, Pres.",
Then comes the report of the-"Societe de Magi
Lute," of scientific experiments:
" We are astounded," exclaims the aged president,
I" at this singular preparation—Vesprini's Italian
Chemical Soap! Where, indeed, will science stop!
Here we have a preparation made in the form of a
beautiful' piece of soap, which we know by actual
I practice, to cure every cutaneous eruption, every
!disfigurement of, rintl.even discolored skin! Where
will its magic and singular power cease i The Ne
! gro, the Creole, the Yellow Race of the East, and
the Red Man ofihe Far West, are alike under the in
fluence of its extraordinary powers of clearing yel
i low or discolored skin, and make it white and beau-
Eifel, and (a - changing the color ofdark, or black, or
brown skin." (Here an - eral persons were brought
l-forward by the - president, who.hail used it, in proof
of his assertions.)
